Origin and production

Just as we live it ourselves, so we expect this from our partners in the manufacture of our articles. No waste of resources, no use of chemicals and in harmony with nature. We also expect and demand from our partners fair working conditions for their employees.

This means fair wages, so that the workers have a decent standard of living, but also working hours, which have room for a private life. Only companies that meet these conditions are eligible for partnership with us. To ensure this, we regularly visit our production sites and speak there with our employees.

We are very lucky to have found a manufacturer that meets our criteria exactly. This company is located in Albania and has been producing olive wood products in high quality handcraft for many years. Every single piece moves through the hand of an employee and is not produced by a production line like other companies.

It goes without saying that all our products are made of one piece of olive wood, you will never discover any glued products in our articles. Our sustainably produced products follow what nature has given us, the structure, shape and texture of olive wood. That's why each piece is individual and has its own charisma.

Origin of our olive wood

Since we pay attention to sustainability, we do not use wood from felled olive trees. We follow the approach of using only wood that drops off the tree care of old olive trees that no longer bear fruit. Our olive wood is therefore from olive trees from Italy which are at least 500 years old.

In these trees, only the big branches are removed so that new ones can regrow. Olive trees that still bear fruit are therefore not considered as raw material for us. However, as we get older, the wood will gain even more skills that will benefit you, being much harder and more robust than young wood, thus guaranteeing the longevity of the products made from them.
